Introduction

We are a fully equipped engineering workshop, trading for the past 15 years in South Africa to handle almost every field of general engineering, ship repairs and fabrication. We also have the facilities to weld hard facing wires (ie: stelite 6, NS 3 m, etc), non ferrous welding and cast iron welding.

Our workshop equipment comprises of 5 different sizes of lathes, our largest being a 6 meter, 100 ton press, large radial arm drill, 3 milling machines, 1 digital readout vertical boring mill, 2 rotary welding tables fully automated, 10 different types of welding machines for in house and on site welding and many more other specialized tools.

Our staff have between 20 and 30 years experience in the engineering field. We also have fully trained fitters and turners.

Work Scope

We as an engineering company have developed certain procedures with regards to welding different types of material. We have built our own machines with regards to rebuilding of main engine piston crowns for ships, resteliting of main engine valve and seats, rebuilding off sheeve wheels, crane wheels, shafts, rollers, large bronze bushes and white metal bushes.

We are a fully equipped machine shop and are able to handle major machine shop work.

1. Welding shop:
All types of welding, including non-ferrous. One of our welding machines is a one-off type manufactured exclusively for our company. It is capable of restellite marine engine valves and seats. It is ideal for the rewelding back to standard. All types of crane wheels, sheeve wheels and rebuilding of shafts. We also reclaim pistons of up to 900 mm diameter and maintain hydraulic equipment.

We have a very wide range of knowledge of the marine industry and also of the harbour equipment. we fully maintain a number of fishing boats and trawlers.
We have served the durban harbour for 14 years and provide our services throughout south africa. we have a large number of overseas clients as we concentrated mainly on ship repair in the past.
